Our 5-frame nucleus hives are built on strong, proven genetics with performance in mind. These colonies are primarily Joe Latshaw genetics, selected and bred for mite resistance, productivity, and strong honey production.
Each nuc includes:
Five fully drawn frames
Brood in all stages (eggs, larvae, and capped brood)
Honey and pollen stores
A healthy population of worker bees
A 2025 mated queen
These bees have been bred with a focus on improving natural mite resistance while maintaining gentle temperament and solid brood patterns. The goal is simple — productive, manageable colonies that perform well through the season.
